as for me, there's not enough ice cream in the world. i work, come home and have an ice cream cone and take a nap. who knew it could get so hot this summer in duluth. and thankfully i take after my mom and i am not burdened by morning sickness - so bring on the sweets!
i have my first obgyn appt a week from monday, so we'll see how far along i actually am.
I have been hit by the ice cream craving as well and have been stocking the freezer with fudgcicles and occasionally treating myself to the real deal. I'm into week 14 and only had 1 week of nausea - feeling pretty lucky about that. Just told work this week - a little awkward because I just took a promotion, but they were great about it. Thanks for setting this up, Kelley. I don't have any friends out here who are pregnant (if you don't count cousins, that is), so it will be fun to hear how it's going for you guys.
ReplyDeleteFrom someone who had extra weight to begin with, I tried very hard not to gain too much and give into the cravings (although I couldn't find just what I wanted with Wyatt) Great advice I was given was to not keep things on hand to make the chocolate brownie fudge sundae, then you were less likely to cave if you had to drive to get it (exspecially because I have no will power!) I did keep things like chocolate covered raisens, raspberries with sauce or sugar, apples which naturally make you feel more full. These weren't really what I wanted, but then I didn' eat as many and I got my chocolate/sugar fix. Hope things keep going well for all you guys, it can be fun and a roller coaster!
ReplyDeleteFrozen Snickers was my kick. But then, anything chocolate has always been my go-to....forever. Jim wasn't a chocolate fan when I met him. He is now and hiding his stash.
