I saw how mom attempted to get into the blog, so I thought it necessary to show how to be able to post instead of just comment. And some of you I think can't even comment, so we'll see if we can get this to work.
First - go to http://lovelylingle.blogspot.com/
On the top right-hand corner is a Sign In link - do that. Should just be your email and password. I have gmail, so it just uses the first user name part.
Third - Again on the right hand corner of the website is the New Post link, which should allow you to post like mom and I have.
If this doesn't work, I don't know what does...

Grammie's back again
Hello! I couldn't remember how to get back into the blog. I'm at Kelley's for an overnight visit and having fun. We checked out the baby furniture Tim's parents brought and discussed where the furniture should go. True to Kelley's color scheme, Baby RR will reside in a rusty hue room. True to Tim's love, it should be decorated with wolves!
Kelley was showing me some of the baby clothes Tim's mom brought and referred to them as "these thingies". She has a lot to learn....onesies.
I have been referring to the baby as Baby Thor. Tim actually likes it! Although, they are only telling me the rejected names....not the possibilities.
As you all deal with unended suggestions from loving friends and families, I have learned to respond with, "thank you, I'll consider that". It tells the person she was heard, even if you felt it sounded like an order. Actually, I learned that from Scott in dealing with Grandpa David!
Love to all,
Karen

From ABBY
Your a strong, healthy, active indvid. though and that makes a lot of difference. I was high risk because of my heart problems, and I read everything I could get my hands on, and your right, it is not always helpful. I was taking crazy drugs for my heart that they didn't really know what would do to the baby and at one point they thought something was wrong with Benjamin and it was awful... but you just deal with it as it comes. Some books are more positive than others, I felt some really just tried to scare the crap out of you with all the bad possiblities, I could look back and figure out which ones I liked if you want. |
sonogram
had my first real appointment with my doctor last week and everything so far is good. tim and i kept giggling every time she used the term "advanced maternity age". i know i'm 37, but i'm pretty darn healthy and still look younger than i am. sheesh... i'm lucky that tim has a non-traditional work schedule, so we can schedule appointments for when he can come with me.
and i asked jake to help me with the blog - but he's apparently moving back to vermont and is a teeny busy right now! keep posting on Comments section if you can and i'll catch him later when he settles down. or you can do what abby did and email me - and i'll post it myself.

due dates
so we had our first appt last Monday - and whoa! i'm a little farther along than i thought i was: 11 weeks. so gotta get all the testing done this coming week since i'm "high risk" being 37 years old. also have been doing far too much reading on this subject this week and am pretty nervous; especially with my history of working with developmentally disabled people, it's like i know too much.
so, when is everyone else due? I'm at 4 March - just at the peak of icy roads and such in Duluth! Gotta dig out my crampons!
